The Reds in internationals action: Robertson, Henderson, van Dijk, Salah and other

All twelve players from Jurgen Klopp’s team played for their respective countries during the March national team break.

Henderson – England

Konate started and finished France’s away victory against the Republic of Ireland, for whom Caoimhin Kelleher was an unused substitute.

Salah – Egypt

The Liverpool winger captained his country to a home win over Malawi in Africa Cup of Nations qualifying. Mo Salah scores 50th goal of his career for the national team and then assisted to Omar Marmoush for Egypt’s second goal of the evening.

Keita – Guinea

Midfielder played 86 minutes of Guinea’s victory against Ethiopia also in Africa Cup of Nations qualifying on March 24.

In second qualifying match Naby Keita came out with the captain’s armband, scored a goal at the very beginning of the match on March 27. Then assisted the Guineans on the second ball. The Liverpool midfielder was substituted at half-time.

Elliott and Jones – England U21

Harvey Elliott started the game for the Young Lions and completed 73 minutes before being replaced in their home friendly with France.
Elsewhere, Jones scored and assisted for England U21s. The Liverpool midfielder stepped off the bench in the 65th minute to assist Noni Madueke, ahead of finding the target himself thanks to a clever flick.
