The 27-year-old Kostas Tsimikas has signed a new long-term contract with Liverpool FC until the summer of 2027.

Tsimikas joined Liverpool in August 2020 from Olympiacos. Since then, the left-back defender has made 63 appearances for the Reds across all competitions and has provided twelve assists.

No.21 told: “I feel very glad to be here to extend my contract. I feel like all the sacrifices I did and other things, the work I put in, [that] everything pays off.”
“But this keeps me fully motivated for the rest. As I’ve said in many, many interviews, this team has many, many things to achieve all together and I wanted to be from the first minute a part of it.”

The Greece left-back add: “More success, more work and more trophies. For me it’s the most important thing, to win trophies, to be committed in every situation, to be part of all of this.”

Not without the help of Kostas Tsimikas, the Merseysiders won the League Cup and FA Cup in 2022. In the final of the FA Cup against Chelsea, Tsimikas slotted home the decisive penalty in the penalty kick series.
