Ballon d’Or

On October 30, the prestigious France Football magazine is presenting awards at the Theatre du Chatelet in Paris.

Traditionally, several awards were presented at the ceremony. In addition to the Ballon d’Or, the same award went to the best female footballer, the Lev Yashin trophy, the Raymond Kop trophy, the Socrates trophy, the Gerd Müller trophy and the Best Club of the Year trophy. The accolade is decided by journalists from FIFA’s 100 top-ranked member nations and is based on individuals’ performances across world football during the 2022-23 season.

Liverpools had one players in the final Ballon d’Or 2023 rankings, with Mo Salah was voted into 11th place. The Egyptian is lower in the ranking than in 2022, where he took 5th place.
