55′. 1:2. GOAL! Gomez gets forward on the right and makes in a perfect lower cross to the back post for Bobby. No. 9 slots the ball beneath McGregor and into the net.

66′. 1:3. GOAL! Firmino flicks it on cleverly to Darwin Nunez who slots it past the keeper first time into the far corner.

75′. 1:4. GOAL! Mo Salah brings down a loose ball in the area and fires across McGregor from a tight angle into the opposite corner.

80′. 1:5. GOAL! Salah takes as many touches as he needs before scores from the edge of the box to bottom corner. Egyptian has now scored more goals (37) than any other African player, for a single club, in the UEFA Champions League proper.

81′. 1:6. GOAL! Salah takes the ball on the right of the box. No.11 opens his body up and bends in a trademark fashion into the far corner. It only took him six minutes and 12 seconds to score three – 75′, 80′ and 81′! Mo Salah scored the fastest Champions League hat-trick at history.

87′. 1:7. GOAL! Harvey buries a rebound from Jota’s shot at the far post but the flag goes up for offside. Mo Salah puts his arms around No.19 neck in anticipation of celebrating the goal. The green light is given for Elliott after VAR. Midfielder Harvey Elliott, scored the first goal in the Champions League.

The Reds won the match convincingly with Mo Salah’s historic hat-trick.
