First matchday at European campaign and prepare for the game
The Reds’ European campaign kicked off on 7 September with an unsuccessful away match against Napoli in Naples. The favorites of the first matchday lost with a score of 4:1, and occupy the third line of group A.
Ajax, Liverpool’s opponent on the second matchday, on the contrary, won a confident victory at home against the Rangers. The Dutch team scored 4 unanswered goals.
In the case of Ajax, this is the second time Liverpool and Amsterdam have been placed in the same group in just three years. Two years after the last matches between Liverpool and Ajax, a lot of players have changed in Ajax. But the main change for the Dutch club is the departure of Erik ten Hag to Manchester United this summer.
