Match Highlights

3′. 1:0. Roberto Firmino stepped away from a defender on the right side before hoisting a cross to the goal line, where Luis Diaz to steer a powerful headed past Travers.

6′. 2:0. Not the best reception of the ball by Firmino turned into a great pass to Elliot near the edge of the box, and Harvey sent a shot curling beyond the reach of Travers and into the far corner.

28′. 3:0. Trent Alexander-Arnold was given room on the edge of the box and driving an unstoppable shot into the top corner.

31′. 4:0. After Salah cross near the corner a wicked deflection, the ball loops up into the air and Firmino finishing. This is Bobby’s first Anfield league goal since December 2020.

45′. 5:0. Virgil Van Dijk headed in after Andy Robertson’s corner just before the break.

46′. 6:0. Mepham turns an Alexander-Arnold cross from wide into an own net.

62′. 7:0. Firmino scoring when he pounced on Travers’ attempts to keep out a Robertson’s in-swinging cross from the right.

80′. 8:0. Carvalho unerring finish from volleyed in Tsimikas pass after Trent a crossfield ball for his first goal for the club.

85′. 9:0. Diaz headed in Kostas Tsimikas’ corner.

The Merseysiders won first match of 2022-23 season at Anfield. Liverpool beating Bournemouth 9-0 at Anfield and registered their biggest ever victory in the Premier League. Also equalled the Premier League’s record winning scoreline.
