Liverpool’s 2023/24 pre-season program began at the AXA Training Centre on July 8.
On the first day of pre-season, Jurgen Klopp had only eight first-team players at his disposal: Adrian, Stefan Bajcetic, Fabinho, Gomez, Matip, Nunez, Phillips and Thiago. The Reds players who have been on international duty during the summer will then get their schedule under way on Tuesday July 11. They are: Alisson, Kelleher, Van Dijk, Konate, Tsimikas, Robertson, Alexander-Arnold, Van den Bergh, Szoboszlai, McAllister, Henderson, Diaz, Salah, Gakpo, Jota.
Harvey Elliott and Curtis Jones will join up at a later date following their participation in the U21 European Championship with England. Where they became the winners, winning the final match against their peers from Spain. And the only goal in this match was scored by Jones.
Klopp’s men will play five pre-season friendlies in the coming weeks. Beginning with matches against Karlsruher SC and Greuther Furth in Germany. On the pitch, the Reds will face Leicester City and Bayern Munich as part of their Singapore tour, before returning to the UK and meeting SV Darmstadt 98.
