The forward Diogo Jota signed a new long-term contract with Liverpool FC. The No.20 put pen to paper on the deal at the AXA Training Centre to extend his Anfield career.

The new Diogo Jota contract runs until the summer of 2027. Note that the current contract is runs until the summer of 2025, which began after a switch from Wolverhampton Wanderers for £41 millions in September 2020.

Jota slotted seamlessly into Klopp’s set-up following his arrival and scored 34 times across his first two seasons at Anfield as well as picking up FA Cup and League Cup winner’s medals in the 2021-22 campaign.

Jota is currently recovering from a hamstring injury that prevented him from participating in any of the Merseysiders pre-season fixtures ahead of the new campaign. But when fully fit again, portugal player is looking to play his part in adding more silverware to the Liverpool’s trophy cabinet.
